We had a great stay in a spacious and clean traditional Japanese house. It had a bedroom with beds, a living room that could turn into another bedroom, a kitchen, bathroom, and garden. The hotel facilities were awesome, we could cook and wash our clothes. The location was superb, a short walk to Gion and perfect for sightseeing. Staff were helpful and we had a pleasant stay.
Couldn't fault this stay, but it was slightly inconvenient as we had to pay for buses every day given the location.

We had a great romantic escape in a beautiful, traditional Japanese house with tatami mats and its own garden. The location was perfect for exploring the city on foot, with lots of amazing sights and sounds nearby. Plus, it was conveniently equipped with a kitchen and washing machine, making it easy to stay in and enjoy each other's company.
That it was a bit cold at times, especially in the kitchen and bathroom areas. We tried using the heaters, but they didn't seem to spread the warmth evenly throughout the space.

The house is larger than a standard hotel room, with a Japanese living room that can turn into the bedroom with futon beds. the location is superb, with easy access to sightseeing and interesting experiences. It was also super clean and comfortable.
We had a minor issue with the heating system. Despite having heaters in the main bedroom and the bedroom/lounge, the heat didn't always reach the kitchen or bathroom, which made us feel chilly at times.

Plus, the hotel was just a few blocks away from major restaurants and shops in the vicinity. the Property, the hotel offered an excellent service, with a fully functional kitchen and cleaning services throughout our stay. the house was sparkling clean, and the garden was well, manicured.
the house was quite old and rustic, lacking modern amenities and gadgets that Guests would expect in 21st, century accommodation.
